A Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Chukwudi Ezeobika, has condemned the gruesome murder of Bolanle Raheem, an innocent Nigerian citizen and a legal practitioner, by the officer of Nigeria Police Force in Lagos State, describing her killing as reprehensible, barbaric and unlawful.

Barr. Ezeobika, while reacting to the killing of the pregnant legal practitioner via a statement issued from London, the United Kingdom, last night, noted that compulsory mental and psychological evaluation of men and officers of Nigerian Police Force was overdue.

According to the former Senatorial Candidate for Anambra South under the United Patriots (UP), “This incident brings to bare the number of undocumented actions by Officers and Men of the Nigeria Police Force which, due to their reckless, irresponsible and unprofessional conduct, lead to deaths of innocent Nigerian citizens.”

He said, “This action by the Nigerian Police remains incomprehensible in this 21st century and shows to a greater extent, the rot and systemic human rights” abuses being carried out under the Buhari led – APC government against innocent Nigerian citizens.

“I condemn in the strongest terms possible, this dastardly act and unprofessional conduct by the Nigerian Police and call for a prompt and immediate arraignment and prosecution of the Police Officer(s) involved.”
