Election results: Ene Dirisu urges APC members to remain calm, peaceful

…Says Tinubu will be declared winner

As tensions continue to rise over the ongoing announcement of Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly results by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Linda Ene Dirisu (LED) has called on supporters of the party to remain calm, while assuring that the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu will be declared winner of the election.

Hon. Linda Ene Dirisu popularly known as LED, was elated by the electoral victory recorded by Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu in her Ekeh Olengbecho Ward in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State, during the presidential election.

Hon. Dirisu had prior to Saturday’s election embarked on aggressive mobilisation of her constituents in the 17 polling units in her ward to deliver votes to Bola Tinubu.

Hon. Dirisu, who is the Senior Special Assistant to the National Youth leader on Innovation & Strategy and member APC Presidential Campaign council, told reporters in sn interview on Monday that APC candidate, Bola Tinubu will emerge victorious.

She said, “I want to appeal to the members of our great party, numerous supporters, admirers and followers of our candidate in the Saturday’s election, Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu that victory is ours. You should remain calm and law abiding.”

Hon. Dirisu, who recalled how her enthusiastic constituents poured on encomiums on Bola Tinubu during her last door to door campaign to the area, said the people kept their promise by voting for Tinubu during the election.

She said, “During my last campaign on February 20, to my Ekeh Olengbecho home town in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State, I was so excited my constituents rolled out the red carpet to welcome our presidential candidate even in his absence.

“That was the outreach I did in Ekeh Olengbecho, covering the 17 Polling Units, PU. It was a door to door campaign for presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu to my people.

“This happened on February 20, 2023 before the presidential election. So, it was a door to door campaign and outreach to my people to encourage them.

“I was there to share some souvenirs to to them. I shared caps, T.shirts, mosquito nets, and food items to the women and men to encourage them to vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu of which they did.

” I have campaigned seriously for the APC presidential standard nearer and the whole 17 Polling Units in Ekeh Olengbecho voted for Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

“So, you can see the women in the video, how happily they were, some of them were even speaking Yoruba, expressing their appreciation and gratitude to Bola Tinubu. They are thanking him in Yoruba language. Wishing him all the best. Wishing him success in the election, which will soon, by grace of God come to pass.

“So, the Ekeh Olengbecho women and the youth were fully with Bola Ahmed Bola and appreciate all that he has sent down to them. They assured him that their votes are for him .

“And they are also happy that their daughter came to deliver the presidential candidate’s handshake to them, in the person of Hon. Linda Ene Dirisu, (LED)

“By the grace of God, Ahmed Bola Tinubu will be declared president. It’s the celebration that remains.”
