FCT APC hails President Tinubu over ministerial nominee

The State Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman has expressed gratitude on behalf of the party in FCT to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the choice of one of the prominent chieftains of the party in FCT, Hon. Zephaniah Bitrus Jisalo as ministerial nominee.

He pledged that this rear opportunity and unique advantage would be used to advance the electoral chances of the party and make it a very actractive party for the people of FCT.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, the party’s state Chairman, who noted that this was first of its kind happened to the people of the territory since its democratic experience from 1999, said President Tinubu had already made history, describing it as a special privilege and testimony of actualisation of his Renewed Hope agenda. Adding further that It was a demonstration of shared commitment, social justice and political motivation for the people of FCT.”

Expressing joy over the choice of the ministerial nominee, the party chairman informed that the entire people in the FCT, particularly members of the APC were already fulfilled by the president’s choice of Hon. Jisalo.

While praising the president further, he noted that it was an understanding intervention, that is innovative and directly informed with his agenda and a critical strategy that guarantee equality.

Abdulmalik said that APC in FCT since its formation has been doing well and remained firm in the territory, even without having a member from FCT as Governor or minister. He believed that now with a minister from the party in FCT this would surely deepens and expand the political commitment and brighten its electoral chances in the subsequent elections.

While tracing the party’s political activities in FCT since its formation, the state party Boss said: “We have actively participated in the merger process of APC in 2014 and took part in the 2015 general elections that scored us 47.3% with neither Governor nor Minister.

“We went into the 2016 FCT Area Council election with only one area Council out of six, but won five and later reclaimed the remaining one making APC to have the whole six Area Councils. Though, we have suffered unfortunate challenges in our subsequent elections outings, but we remained firm and committed to our party.

“Now, this opportunity will deepen and expand our political commitment in subsequent elections, it will also give APC, an opportunity to engage views and share ideas on emerging advantage that will improve not only political, but economic growth among other benefits.”
