NDDC to partner with stakeholders to achieve a thriving and prosperous region—Ogbuku

The Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Chief Samuel Ogbuku said the Commission was prepared to work with all the stakeholders with a view to collectively delivering on its mandate.

Chief Ogbuku, who made the remarks ,while briefing the newly appointed Minister of Niger Delta Development, Engr Abubakar Momoh in Abuja on the operations of the commission said the collaboration is aimed to achieve the shared vision of a thriving and prosperous Niger Delta community.

Chief Ogbuku, while acquainting the Minister with functions and significant activities of the NDDC, emphasized on its commitment to upholding transparency, accountability, and comprehensive development.

The briefing aimed to enhance the Minister’s understanding of the NDDC’s role in advancing the cause of the region and its ongoing initiatives to improve the quality of life of the people.

Ogbuku amongst other things presented an in-depth analysis of the ongoing initiatives, projects, and challenges faced by the organization.

Also tabled before the minister are wide range of issues, including infrastructure development, community empowerment programs, environmental sustainability projects, and the promotion of economic growth in the Niger Delta region.

According to him, “We believe that partnership is the way for us to fast-track the development of the region”

While reiterating the Commission’s steadfast and commitment to the advancement of the region and its resolve in upholding transparency, accountability, and comprehensive development, Chief Ogbuku noted that, “We are trying to bring out innovation that is sustainable for the people of Niger Delta.”

He promised the NDDC is ready to work closely with the newly appointed Honorable Minister, adding, “We Know with your wealth of experience working with you, you are going to encourage us and we will get better”

He maintained that the commission will work with State Governments, stakeholders, and International Organizations to take Niger Delta State to the World” to collectively achieve the shared vision of a thriving and prosperous Niger Delta community.
