Insecurity: S-East women group applauds Armed Forces for improved security in the zone

The South-East Women Professionals have applauded bravery and dexterity deployed by the Armed Forces of Nigeria, AFN, to attain the current improved security situation in the zone.
The body, particularly commended the military under the leadership of the Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Christopher G. Musa for the returning of peace and tranquility in the South-East zone.
It lamented that the zone has been turned into a war zone by criminal elements who are trying to indoctrinate the peace loving people of the zone
The Women Professionals in a statement signed by Mrs Ijeoma Okafor and Princess Ada Udi, President and Secretary respectively, further described as commendable and timely the the military operations, which is restoring peace tp the zone.
While attributing the improved security situation to the efforts of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, the Women group congratulated the people of South-East, who they described as business minded for experiencing prevailing peace in the zone.
The South-East Women Professionals lauded the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa for making restoration of peace in the South-East a priority since assumption of office.
They noted that grounded businesses in the zone are gradually coming back to life as a result of ongoing clearance operations by troops of the AFN.
The women appealed to residents in the zone to stand and cooperate with the military for total restoration of peace and stability.
According to the group, “We cannot but commend the Armed Forces of Nigeria under the leadership of Gen. C. G. Musa for the improved security situation in the South-East zone.
“The zone have been turned into a war zone by criminals who are trying to indoctrinate the peace loving people of the zone. The people of South-East are business minded.
“But this group of people came to remove our peace and instil fear, which has grossly affected our means of livelihood. Hunger was beginning to show in our communities as people were afraid to venture out.
“The ongoing clearance operations by troops of the AFN is a welcome development. Gradually, life is returning to normal. We therefore urge our people to support and work with the military to restore total peace,” the group added.
