Imo guber: Youths group endorses ADC’s Prof. Okoroma

....Says a new Imo is possible under his leadership
… Mobilizes age groups, market women , other stakeholders for his victory

Some notable youths operating under the aegis of Imo Youths for Good Governance, IYGG, has endorsed the governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress, ADC, Professor James Okoroma ahead of the November 11 election in the state.

The group said it was excited by Prof. Okoroma’s resolved to restore peace and tranquility to the state through constructive dialogue with all the stakeholders.

Speaking to journalists shortly after a stakeholders’ conference held to mobilize supports for Prof. Okoroma, the Convener of IYGG, Hon. Onyebuchi Kalu said the ADC candidate has all it takes to turn around the story of the state for better

Hon. Kalu assured the good people of the state of Prof. Okoroma”s determination and preparedness to solve the challenges of insecurity through purposefully collaboration with them.

He was optimistic that useful deliberations and consultations with vital stakeholders will help to achieve a new Imo State that all the Imolites are yearning for.

Kalu also pointed out that as a renowned Professor of Literature and Creative Writing, Prof. Okoroma will use his vast experience, contacts and connections to attract both international and local investors to the state.

According to him, “We can’t have an outstanding scholar contesting for the governorship position of our beloved state and then begin to look elsewhere. It’s never again we will allow mediocre to govern Imo State.

“We have had enough of them who have left the state in miserable condition than they met it, particularly in the last 24 years of this democratic governance. What we have harvested from them including the incumbent administration were serial disappointment arising from misgovernance and reckless attitudes towards misappropriation of public funds. ”

Kalu stressed further that under Prof Okoroma as a governor , he will establish genuine interactions and discussions with Imolites to end the insecurity and other social vices currently rocking the state.

“ADC government will return the state to the path of growth and industrialization, our dear state has suffered and we the youths have taken a strong stand to end the maladministration because no state facing the kind of stormy situation as presently obtained in Imo State could record any meaningful development.

“We are ready to join forces with Prof. Okoroma’s determination to create a new Imo State through genuine dialogue.

“We will together find a lasting solutions to mileage of problems facing the state. On this note, I want to enjoin all of us to give the ADC candidate massive supports by coming out to vote him in as the next governor of our dear Imo State come November 11, 2023.

“This organization will leave no stone unturned in pursuing the resolve to collectively actualize the dream Okoroma has for the state by rescuing it from the clutches of bad leadership that is holding it down from making the expected progress over the years”, he said
