A renowned pressure group, the Good Governance Initiative, GGI, has assured that with the ongoing military operations in the North East, the entire zone and it’s people will soon experience total peace.
The GGI further described as a welcome development the reports from the North-East that the troops recording unprecedented victory over insurgents in the region.
President of GGI, Adeniyi Osho said in a press statement issued on Wednesday, which a copy was obtained by NEW ERA in Abuja that the troops of the Nigerian Armed Forces will continue to record victory over victory over terrorists until their total annihilation.
Recall that the Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, recently said there is no community in the state that is still under the control of Boko Haram insurgents, stating that the security situation has improved by over 85 percent.
Similarly, the Senator representing Borno South Senatorial District, Ali Ndume said the issue of Boko Haram has come and gone.
Also, another recent report confirmed a gradual restoration of peace in the popular Dikwa Night Market and the entire town sacked in 2014 and 2016 by Boko Haram insurgents.
Osho said at the backdrop that the confirmation of victory over terrorists is a testimony that the sacrifices of the Armed Forces of Nigeria is not in vain.
GGI attributed the good news coming out from the region to the dedication of officers and men of the Armed Forces of Nigeria under the leadership of Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Christopher G. Musa.
GGI expressed joy on the gradual restoration of peace in the popular Dikwa Night Market and the entire North-East and expressed confidence that with ongoing military operations, the people of the region will soon express total peace.
GGI further urged the Nigerian media to spread messages of hope, while building the confidence of troops engaged in operations across the country.
According to GGI, “At this time, patriotism is needed to make the victory of our troops over the insurgents total.”
