Family commends Tinubu, Buhari, Umahi for naming international airport after late Okadigbo

The family of late Senate President, Dr. Chuba Okadigbo, has commended former President Muhammadu Buhari for naming the Ebonyi International Airport after him .
They also expressed gratitude to former Governor of Ebonyi State, Senator David Umahi for making efforts to ensure that the Airport was built.
The younger brother of the political icon, Henry Okadigbo stated this in a statement ihe personally signed and issued to newsmen in Abuja.
He further commended President Bola Tinubu, the First Lady, Senator Remi and the current Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru for ensuring that every necessary infrastructure is provided at the airport to make it fully functional.
Okadigbo said that the naming of the Airport after his late brother, would inspire other Nigerians to give their best to the Country with the hope they would be recognized and honoured whether dead or alive.

He noted that: “Dr. Okadigbo dedicated himself to the service of our Nation, tirelessly working to ensure that the voices of the marginalized were heard and that every Nigerian had the opportunity to reach their individual destinies”.
He maintained that late Dr. Okadigbo was “a man who believed in the power of diversity, embracing our differences as strengths rather than divisions”
He expressed the view that the late Senate President wanted “a Nigeria where every Citizen could soar, unencumbered by the shackles of inequality and strife”.
He further said that the naming of the CHUBA OKADIGBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT was not: “merely an honour, but a living embodiment of his(Okadigbo’s) aspirations for a united and prosperous Nigeria ”
According to Henry, “The Airport would serve as a bridge that connects the hearts and minds of the Nigerian people and stand as a symbol of hope and a reminder that we can rise above our challenges and work together toward a brighter future for all Nigerians.”
In his view, the airport would also create numerous economic opportunities for the people of Ebonyi and other Nigerians who believe in the unity of the country.
