NRM disowns online membership registration, warns public against the illegal process

ABUJA: The National Secretariat of the National Rescue Movement, NRM, has disowned alleged ongoing registration of members into the party, while warning the general public to disregard such activities it described handiwork of some unscrupulous elements.

The National Chairman of the party, Ambassador Isaac Udeh , who stated this in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, further disassociated the party from the purported membership registration .

Udeh said the viral online registration of members into the party by one Engr. Gambo Daniels and some faceless others was not known to the party.

Ambassador Udeh said that the leadership of the party is not aware or issue any approval in that regard.

According to him, “Our party, National Rescue Movement, NRM National leadership is not aware of this, and we don’t know anything about it” Ambassador Udeh stressed.

The statement hereby put a disclaimer to adding that it is a scam.

The statement urges the general public to disregard it and not fall prey to the scammers

The statement therefore warns those behind the act to desist from such scam or face the rot of the law.

“Whoever is involved in this scam should desist from such or risk prosecution”, Ambassador Udeh emphasizes.

Exposing the illegal registration process further, Ambassador Udeh pointed out that the publication in question, which includes a registration link and bank account details, is not sanctioned by the NRM.

Specifically, the following details are not recognized by the NRM:

– Registration fee/Membership card: ₦500.00
– Monthly dues: ₦500.00/month
– Bank account: CONCERNED STAKEHOLDERS FORUM, FIDELITY BANK: 5700143250

The NRM urged the public to disregard this publication and not to make any payments to the specified bank account.

“The party is investigating this matter and will take necessary actions to prevent such unauthorized activities in the future.

“For authentic information on NRM membership registration, please contact the party’s official representatives or visit the NRM website”, Udeh said.
