AfDB: Ogun State students’ body hails Adesina’s significant achievements

The National Association of Ogun State Students, NAOSS, has applauded the immediate past President of African Development Bank, AfDB, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina for his remarkable achievements in the office.
National Senate Clerk, NAOSS, Sen. Akinsola Prisca, in a statement issued on Monday, commended Dr. Adesina’s significant achievements in the Bank’s capital increase, launch of a covid 19 social bond and crisis response facility, global recognition for the ADB’s effectiveness and transparency.
Prisca said, “As indigenes of Ogun State, we are happy to draw inspiration from him and he has been consistent in his diligence, making us shine in the global world and giving us a great spot in the global map.
“These accomplishments are testaments to Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina’s dedication and hard work. “To stay in power, African leaders must provide power”. “Like the hidden potential of Rough Diamonds, we must work to fully unlock Africa’s potential; Africa must sparkle “: says Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina.
“Dr. Adesina led Africa Development Bank to achieve highest capital increase in it’s history raising general capital from $93 billion to $208 billion. He helped Africa curb impact of coronavirus pandemic when ADB launched a landmark $3 billion COVID-19 social bond and a $10 billion crisis response facility in response to the pandemic.
“Africa Development Bank was ranked as best multilateral financial institution in the world by Global Finance in 2022 and most transparent financial institution in the world in 2023.
‘We are incredibly proud of Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina and his contributions as he would forever remain a source of inspiration to each and everyone of us in Ogun State.”
