Gov Oborevwori orders replacement of missing Sallah rams to Delta Muslims community

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has ordered immediate release of rams meant for distribution to the indigenous Muslims in Delta Central and South Senatorial districts for the just concluded Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
The Governor’s directive was in a reaction to the complaint raised by the Delta State Muslim Council, DSMC, calling on him to investigate the whereabout of the rams meant for distribution to Muslims in the two Senatorial districts.
The rams were said to have been donated to the Muslim community in the state by Governor but the share meant for the indigenous Muslims in Delta Central and South Senatorial districts, got missing in the process of distribution.
The Publicity Secretary of the Delta State Muslim Council, Mr Abdulsalam Oga, had earlier told journalists in Warri, that the rams meant for the indigenous Muslims in Delta Central and South Senatorial districts were missing.
According to him, the rams were handed to the Director of the State Muslim Pilgrim’s Welfare Board but could not get to their various destinations as their whereabout is still unknown.
Mr. Oga accused the Direction of the Board for playing to the gallary of an Hausa-Fulani who is alleged to have diverted the rams.
Mr Oga wondered why should it be the rams mean to the Indigenous Muslim that would disappeared.adding that, while those for none Indigenes were intact.
He called on the state government to investigate the whereabout of the Rams
