Islamic cleric tasks FG on global politics, religious participations

A Cleric and President of the Delta State Islamic Council, DSIC, Alhaji Barr. Mumakai Unagha has tasked the Federal Government of Nigeria to be more involved in the activities of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC.
Alhaji Unagha made the call when he was conferred with the Islamic title of Hojjatul Islam by an Islamic Organisation, Global Islamic Peace Assembly.
The Muslim leader noted thai Nigeria is not committed enough to the ideal and aspiration of the Organization which Nigeria is a member.
According to him, “Nigeria should be resilient, participate in global politics for economic development. We should be seen occupying front role in global affairs
While commending the Organization for the title, he charged the leadership to always discourage violence, maintain peace especially demilitarisation of our youths. Alhaji Unagha who spoke briefly on the Israel and Islamic Republic of Iran, said, Israel is aggressors, but however sued for peace
Earlier, the leader of the Organisation Jafar Ibn Jabari commended Alhaji Mumakai Unagha for his effort for Islam in Nigeria which informed the award of the Islamic title.
