Urhobo will contest 2031 governorship election in Delta State, says Unagha

A prominent Urhobo ethnic nationality leader, Alhaji Mumakai Unagha has said the Urhobo will contest the 2031 governorship election in Delta State.
Alhaji Unagha made this known during an interaction session with selected Youth leaders in Warri.
According to the former publicity Secretary of the Urhobo apex union, Urhobo Progressive Union, UPU, he said since the Itsekiris has produced a governor, it is the turn of Urhobo of Delta South, Isokos and Ijaws.
“This will also affect that of the House of Representatives for equity sake especially that zoning in the state has come to stay
“For so long, the Urhobos of Warri and Patani have been denied their right in their God given homes”, he said, adding that, the era of oppression has come and gone for peace to reign.
He noted that the people must embrace peace.
Alhaj Unagha, who was recently installed by Global Islamic Peace Assembly as HOJJATUL ISLAM commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, iNEC, for a job well, stressing that they should not go back to do otherwise.
He noted that democracy is by population not manipulation.
