Kogi chapter unveils ADC official coalition of opposition parties

The Kogi State chapter of Africa Democratic Congress, ADC, has expressed readiness to accommodate all new members trooping into the party’s fold in the wake of its adoption by the opposition coalition.

The Chairman of ADC Kogi State and Forum Chairman for ADC Nigeria and the Diaspora, Hon. Ogga Temitope Kingsley stated this at a press conference held in Lokoja to welcome new members and unveiling of ADC the official coalition of opposition parties.

He described ADC as a political party rooted in integrity and committed to service.

Hon. Kingsley also used the occasion to pay glowing tributes to some members of the party in the state, saying, “I also want to acknowledge leaders whose dedication has helped shape the success of our party”, adding, “Your unwavering service continues to inspire us all.”

According to him, “I stand before you with deep honor and a profound sense of purpose, representing the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kogi State Chapter. Today is not just another event, it is a defining moment in our collective journey toward inclusivity, vision, and genuine public service.

“To our new members: welcome home. You haven’t simply joined a political party, you have joined a movement, one rooted in integrity, committed to service, and dedicated to building a brighter future for Kogi and our nation.”

Hon. Kingsley pointed out that, “Politics without purpose is powerless. Here in the ADC, our leadership is guided by purpose, grounded in transparency, inclusion, and real grassroots progress. We’re here to break old cycles and leave a legacy of meaningful change.

“I extend heartfelt appreciation to our long-standing members and stakeholders. Your commitment has been the backbone of our party. To our new joiners — bring your voices, your passion, and your ideas. In the ADC, every voice matters.

“As Chairman of ADC Kogi State and Forum Chairman for ADC Nigeria and the Diaspora, I reaffirm our shared commitment to fostering leadership rooted in merit, vision, and accountability. Together, we are molding leaders who are bold, prepared, and ready to serve.

“I also want to acknowledge leaders whose dedication has helped shape the success of our party:
• Hon. Elder Leke Abejide, representing Yagba Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Customs and Excise
• Hon. Architect Salman Idris, representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency
