Akpobolokaemi Commends Akugbene Monarch For Scholarship Programme

The Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Community Development, Hon. Davids Akpobolokaemi, has lauded the First Vice Chairman, Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, His Royal Majesty, Pere SP Luke, Pere Kalanama VIII, JP, Pere of AKUGBENE – Mein Kingdom, Bomadi LGA, Delta State for his visionary and well-orchestrated scholarship programme aimed at empowering youths through education.

Speaking to newsmen in a telephone interview, Akpobolokaemi described the monarch’s investment in education as thoughtful, futuristic and impactful, noting that it would positively influence the people, communities, economy and environment of the Akugbene-Mein Kingdom.

He said such an initiative could only be championed by a leader with exceptional leadership qualities and a deep passion for the welfare of his people, stressing that human capital development remains the hallmark and catalyst for sustainable growth and development.

According to him, the long-term benefits of the scholarship scheme would be enormous, adding that in the coming years, Akugbene-Mein Kingdom would begin to export intellectual capacity and skills to other states, nations and regions of the world as part of its socio-economic transformation.

Akpobolokaemi appealed to concerned and well-meaning individuals to take advantage of the opportunity and support the programme to ensure optimal outcomes for the people and their communities. He emphasized that citizens of the kingdom owe the monarch appreciation for the initiative.

He further charged the beneficiaries of the scholarship to justify the gesture by remaining dedicated, committed, focused, responsible and responsive in their academic pursuits, noting that their success would validate the vision behind the programme.

The governor’s aide thanked the Monarch for his magnanimity and encouragement of his people, describing the scholarship scheme as a critical step towards helping youths achieve their dreams and aspirations while becoming better citizens and contributors to positive societal development and growth.
