Works, Defence ministries in talks on security projects, others

The Ministries of Works and Defence have commenced inter-ministerial collaboration with a view to fostering mutual understanding in the areas of infrastructure development and security-related projects
This was the hallmark of deliberations between the Minister of State for Works, Rt. Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo and the Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd), during a courtesy visit on him in Abuja.
Goronyo informed his host during the meeting of the need to strengthen the synergy between the two ministries for national interest and protection of critical infrastructure.
Goronyo during the meeting commended the Minister of Defence for his unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s territorial integrity and ensuring peace and stability across the country.
He emphasized the importance of synergy among critical ministries in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government.
In his response, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd.) appreciated the visit and reaffirmed the Ministry of Defence’s readiness to collaborate with the Ministry of Works to support infrastructure development that enhances national security and economic growth.
As a highlight of the courtesy call, the Honourable Minister of Defence presented a gift to the Honourable Minister of State for Works as a gesture of goodwill and mutual respect.
The meeting concluded on a cordial note, with both Ministers expressing optimism about sustained cooperation in the interest of national development.
