The 2023 Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Prince Adewole Adeboye has appeared to the residents of Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC to come out and freely choose the chairmanship candidate of the party Dr. Obinna Simon during the Saturday’s elections.

Prince Adewale, who made the appeal while addressing a mammoth crowd of supporters and party faithful during the roadshow that terminated at Apo to mark the grand finale of campaign, charged the residents to vote for the SDP’s candidates to enjoy good governance.

He charged them to ignore the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike whom he claimed had boasted that only he will tell the people those they are to vote for.

According to him, “A drunken man in Abuja said he has chosen the winner of the elections in Abuja. Tell the man that in this country it’s the people of Nigeria that will always choose their leaders.

“So anybody who talks anyhow and behaves anyhow cannot come here and dictate for us who will lead us. So on Saturday, let’s use our finger to vote and choose Tagwaye Obinna Simon as our Chairman and Geroginia Ngufa Jogo as our Vice Chairman”.

Adewale described the emergence of President Bola Tinubu as a mistake which should be corrected; adding, “Let me tell you the two mistakes that we have made in Nigeria.

“The first one is the name called Ahmed Bola Tinubu. That mistake has led to another mistake called Nyesom Wike.

“You can collect our land but can’t collect our paper, you can collect our l house but not our life. The day Tinubu will be going, Tagwaye will be here and the day Wike will be going, Geroginia will be here telling him bye-bye.

“Wike cannot come from wherever and come and close our schools. How can someone come and tell us how choose our leaders. They harass traditional rulers not to receive us.

“Tinubu is a bad tenant because he has collected your money and refused us electronic voting. He is a president that signs budget without reading them.

He has signed three budgets without implementing any of them. One bridge Wike has built costs more than what it took Murtala Mohammed to set up Abuja.”

In his address , the candidate of the party in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Dr. Obinna Simon has declared that time has come for a leadership that will truly work for all residents, irrespective of their tribe or creed.

Simon said if elected his administration will ensure that development would be extended to all parts of the council.

The candidate who went on a wide road show to parts of the Abuja metropolis where he distributed lots of party materials and insignia was hailed by excited residents who assured him of their vote.

“Nigeria belongs to us all and as citizens, we are all one and it will be nice for us all to continue to function as one people. Whether you were born here or from any other part of the country, we are all one people. We all pay our taxes here and are contributing immensely to the development of the city”.

The Vice Chairmanship candidate, Mrs. Geroginia Ngufa Jogo in her address urged the residents to use their index fingers to cast their votes for the SDP.

The rally attracted a lot of party chieftains including the National Chairman, Dr. Abubakar Sadiq Gombe and his deputy, Sen. Ugochukwu Uba, former Minister of Power, Dr. Olu Agunloye amongst others.
