A chieftain of people’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Rtn. Fidelis Adjogbe has congratulated the state Governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on his victory at the Appeal Court, affirming his success in the March 2023 governorship election.
Rtn. Adjogbe in a congratulatory message he personally signed, which a copy was made available to NEW ERA in Abuja, said the Appeal Court decision has brought relief to the legal disputes surrounding the election.
The former Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters to the immediate Governor of Delta State and a front line Aspirant, for Ughelli North Local Government Council Chairmanship, 2024, remarked that Governor Oborevwori ‘s victory at the Appeal Court in Lagos is a divine mandate.
Adjogbe, therefore, enjoined the opposition candidates and political parties in Delta State to join hands with the governor in order to collectively deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of the state.
The governor, he said is on a mission to bring more progress to the people.
He charged the oppositions to jettison further legal battles against the governor to enable him do more for Deltans as it is the best thing for sportsmanship
According to Adjogbe, “The governor has begun well, and he is very optimistic the M.O.R.E agenda is the best way to go for Deltans.”
He said, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our amiable Governor , His Excellency, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on his victory at the Appeal Court, affirming his success in the March 2023 governorship election.
“This Appeal Court decision definitively brought relief to the legal disputes surrounding the election and will pave the way for our Governor to wholeheartedly deliver the benefits of democracy to all Deltans.
“I commend Governor Oborevwori for his leadership thus far and also applaud Deltans for upholding the rule of law throughout this process.
“I call upon the people of Delta State to join hands and support our Governor’s administration in its mission to bring prosperity and progress to the people.”
