Address our plight, don’t treat us as aliens — Muslim Cleric tells Oborevwori

Again, the Delta State Muslim Council, DSMC, has appealed to the State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori to address their plight, noting that they should not be treated as aliens in their own state
The Publicity Secretary of the State Muslim Council, Malam Abdulsalam Ogan, made the appeal, while speaking with journalists on Sunday in Abuja.
He said, one year of the administration of the Governor Oborevwori has not addressed the plight of the indigenous Muslims despite the several appeals.
According to him, they are gradually being pushed, sliding into opposition which they the Muslims wouldn’t want to be.
The Muslim Cleric noted that the governor has performed and still performing creditably, beating the records of some of his predecessors therefore, Muslims in the state will always continue to support him to move the state forward.
He called on the governor to reconsider the appointment of Muslims Indigene into his government such that the governor should not be seen as religious jingoist.
Answering questions, Oga said Muslims indigenes of the state should be allowed to practiced their religious belief freely devoid of hatred and denial of their religious rights and faith.
He maintained that Muslims in the state will always continue to support a performing Government also criticize bad one.
On whether they will internationalize their agitation, the Muslim Cleric noted that it has not call for that yet stressing that the only thing they will continuously do, is to agitate for a fair deal.
