Niger Delta Group Petition Tinubu, IGP Over Release of CEO, Jessam

The Supreme Niger Delta Youth Council , ( SNDYC), has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun to urgently intervene over the continued incarceration of Mr Jessam Michael who was arrested January , 28th, 2025.
Mr Jessam Michael, the Chief Executive Officer of Afrique Arbitrage System had laid a complaint over alleged theft of his assets by his employee.
The youth group which is asking for justice for the detained Jessam Michael asked the police to charge him to court if he committed any infraction in line with the constitution than his continued incarceration.
“Our reaction is that , IGP, the people of Niger Delta Youth Council are saying, please, step up your action and let us have justice”
In a Statement by the group National President, Prince Michael Newgent Ekamon, the group urged the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun to immediately release Mr Jessam Michael on medical grounds , to enable him attend to his health challenge, adding that he undergoes dialysis weekly.
It argued that the continued detention of Mr Jessam Michael by the police will aggravate his health condition as he has been denied access to his medical doctors, freedom and phones,
The statement read in parts ” The Supreme Niger Delta Youth Council World Wide is urging the IGP Kayode Egbetokun to grant Mr Jessam Michael bail as he spent close to three weeks In detention despite the fact that he has kidney problems.
” The Supreme Niger Delta Youth Council World Wide is worried by the continuous silence of the Inspector General of Police , Mr Kayode Egbetokun, thereby giving credence to the allegations in certain quarters that Csp Taiwo Oyewale is allegedly doing his bidding .
” We have it on good grounds that Csp Taiwo Oyewale is allegedly playing the ethnic card because Mr Jessam Michael is a minority from the South South region of Nigeria. The Supreme Niger Delta Youth Council is solidly behind our able and impartial leader , President Bola Ahmed Tinubu having associated with him closely right from his NADECO days and eventual emergence as governor of Lagos state several years ago”
