AMAC 2026: APC Group Endorses Sarki For Chairman

A group of the All Progressive Congress, APC, support group under the ageis of Yunusa Dantani Sarki foundation has endorsed former deputy Speaker of the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Hon. Yunusa Dantani Sarki as their preferred candidate for AMAC chairmanship position in next year’s February election.

The group made this endorsement in Abuja at the weekend, while unveiling the aspirant as their right choice.

Speaking at the unveiling program, chairman of the foundation, Chief Okoh Sunday said the group will mobilize resources and voters across the 12 wards of the council to ensure victory for their preferred candidate, adding that he poses the right credentials and experience to govern the council.

He said “This rich tapestry of experience in governance, community and astute political leadership unequivocally positions Hon. Sarki as the visionary steward AMAC needs for it’s future.

“Today , as we proudlyunveil him for this critical leadership role, we are not just presenting an aspirant. We are heralding the dawn of a transformative era for the Abuja Municipal Area Council”

Addressing journalists , Hon. Sarki noted that he was in the race to transform the Area council which according to him has suffered retardation in previous admiatration and breach the gap between the indegenes and non indegenes.

Speaking on the Defection of the current chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, Makalangu from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressive Congress, APC, Sarki dismissed fears of automatic tikect , saying that he was confident of winning the party’s ticket.
